Post "The Karma Project.org" T-Shirt Design Contest
As I am getting "The Karma Project" off the ground here with hopes and plans to make this a hub for many to come together, on and offline, to help each other and others in general in any way they can. This could mean simple advice on a computer issue, life issue, or anything that is considered a simple or even big "good deed". The internet is an amazing tool that I personally believe hasnt been used to its full potential to bring people together for "good" purposes. This place was made to help find information on ways to help: charity events to be apart of, a "Karma Wiki" specifically designed as a "Help..Help Manual," and so on.

Along with my hopes to have a physical "The Karma Project" community center building (to be able to bring those in the communities its located in together with many locations in the future), there are various donation formats that should appeal to a wide range of people, including an interactive online aspect (as the idea is based on our internet community, after all)...Bringing me to this contest.

First Karma Project Art Contest
Visual Art

As I said, "The Karma Project" isn't even off the ground yet or ready to launch, but it's my hopes to see the "virtual" world community used to make differences in the "real" world. This contest will most likely be small as it's the first one; so that makes it easy for anyone who joins to win. In the future, if/when this idea takes off, I will run this contest again for one aspect of the interactive part of "The Karma Project". The contest will be more formed then with better stakes/prizes, meaning alot more entries.

So have fun and be apart of this from the start! After all this entire idea can not go anywhere without people like you doing something a little extra in this world. "What Goes Around Comes Around."

On a small scale to show a part of what "The Karma Project" is going to be I am going to try and bring various internet communities together in this thread for this competition for one helpful purpose.

Design a T-Shirt that will carry your artwork for "The Karma Project".

Following these simple guidelines:

It must be "family" friendly.
Not strictly, but you know no porn, vulgarities, and such.

It does not have to be made specifically for this contest.
If you have work that you believe represents the subject below and want to submit it, feel free!

One image for the front of a shirt only.
So it cant be meant as an "all over print" shirt, or have another part for the back.

No copyrighted work. It must be your own or you must have permission to submit it.

If you want credit for the design on the actual shirt itself you must include your name in the design however you'd like.

What you get?

Your artwork will be available from the very begining here and always will be available no matter how far I go with this project for as long as the project is here.

Credit will be given to you on our main site as the design contest winner as long as the site is up.

50$ cash prize.

You may look around this site and wonder why you care about your work being associated with it. Well keep in mind I am working hard to get this project off the ground, and it has potential to become huge with many people wanting your shirt to help this project out, getting your art recognized with a great cause, getting your work seen by potentially millions in the near future. So its like my mantra:
"What Goes Around Comes Around," and it shows again a little bit what this site is: people from all over helping people from all over.

Think:
eBay has the online community driven business.

Myspace has the online community driven residential aspect (like the real world walking down the street).

"The Karma Project" (e-Karma) is geared to be the community driven Spirit/Soul/good/charity online aspect (if you get me).

What is this for?

The T-Shirt will be sold in "The Karma Project" store space located HERE where 100% of profits go towards "The Karma Project" efforts to make a difference.
I will personally not be profiting off your work. The proceeds are all designated to futher "The Karma Project," which includes, but is not limited to:
Keeping the site running, contests/games for the community, community voting on donations for a charity, local projects/efforts, or individuals that are an active part of our community, and so on.

The Subject.
Although this is highly ...subjective:
What I would like to see is a visual representation of what this idea ("The Karma Project") means to you, but you are absolutly allowed to do anything you want as long as it has some kind of relatable theme. You may include words.

Now you may ask "But..ok What is 'The Karma Project' exactly?"

The site is still under construction and changing daily,so for now I really only want the design to be a visual of what you think it might be, or could be, and what image it inspires in you in its infant stages here.

It's my hopes and in my head; I see these designs and these contests to grow organically just like the project itself, meaning the contest is kinda the art itself also. As we go along together, the images will be clearer and more representative of the project in its current state in any given time. So when this project gets bigger we can use the designs here as a visual representation of its timeline and growth of its ideals.

Rules

To submit your entry you must be a registered user of this board and post your work in this thread.
Any questions please email me at "TheKarmaProject (at) gmail.com"

I will add the logo below to a non-intrusive part of your work.
You may by all means avoid this if you incorporate "TheKarmaProject.org" in your design. I promise I will in no way cover your work at all with it. I will respect your work completely. If you wish you may include our mantra: "What Goes Around Comes Around".

This contest will run for atleast 3 months, ending in February, to give all participants plenty of time to submit and/or ask any questions they may have.

Being a community driven site, the winner will be decided on by the community via a final thread on this board.
Once a winner is selected by the community I will send a PM requesting your information to send out your prize. You will then have 15 days to reply , at which time the prize will go to the second place winner.

That's it! As you can see I am leaving it pretty open to see what you can come up with. I dont like anyone interfering with my work, so why should I mess with yours?

The contest will not change, but more information, guidelines, or the end date is subject to change if needed. Just send me a PM or post to ask any questions. Help "The Karma Project" realize its full potential and make some good news in this world for once. It seems few and far between doesnt it? Being an artist, if you are interested in this contest you know how powerful a visual message can be, so make a statement to the potential millions we can reach together!

Please have fun. Post your work!

I think on the front it should have TheKarmaProject.org, and on the back it should say you WILL reap what you have sown :hat:

Just have the Karma logo on the front and "What Goes Around Comes Around" on the back.
